Our Story

Tekrekt is a trading name of Sourcetech Ltd. A company within the bold group of companies.

Formed in 2004, Sourcetech Ltd.’s aim was to supply the education markets with custom PC and AV technology. At one point Sourcetech was building over 100 desktops a week to cater for the demand of its customers.

The company then transitioned to building high end workstations and servers for the AV markets, a market we are still heavily involved in. We have been building multiple GPU and CPU servers and workstations long before the gamers became involved.

In 2018 SourceTech took on new premises in Daedalus airport, whilst building the premises and fitting it out we thought we would build a gaming trade counter and let the general public use our experience of high end computing to buy the best gaming machines within their budgets.

Tekrekt is part of UK nationwide buying group, with direct access to the major manufacturers of pc components, so we are always up to speed with the latest technology and trends, and hopefully our combined buying power means that we are able to offer competitive priced hardware.

As with all our AV clients, we aim to treat the retail customers with the same service and after care that the big clients insist upon. All of our systems we build will be provided with a 3-year hardware warranty and a 5-year labour warranty. If a piece of hardware fails after the 3 years, we will charge for the replacement hardware item, but we will fit it free of charge.

Our service will also include free labour to install upgrades during the 5 years, as long as the upgrade, and the original pc has been purchased with us (Operating system upgrades not included). We will install the new hardware, and burn it in using the same procedures as our new builds.

Basically, because we know what we are talking about and we know how to build hardwearing, fast gaming systems. All of our staff are gamers, and all of our pc engineers have been building multiple GPU and CPU workstations for over 15 years.

We only use quality components from the main vendors, we do not believe in cheap components, so we will not try and sell you the cheapest system, because that wont be the best gaming solution.

We will support you going forward after your purchase. You can use us for advice. Your Gaming pc purchase doesn’t end on the day you hand over the cash and collect. As you get better, and technology changes, you can come back to us for deals on upgrades, trade ins, or just pop in for advice or ask to see how an upgrade will perform in your box. If we have the component in stock we will gladly fit it in your system and allow you to try it out in our premises.

Lastly, we offer a 30 day, no nonsense refund policy. If you do not feel that the PC you have purchased doesn’t perform the way we have told you it will, then you can return it for a full refund. That’s how confident we are that our advise is the best around.
